Nau mai, haere mai.
Welcome to Rāhui Pōkeka/Huntly.

Anchor 1

Huntly is known for many things; one of New Zealands largest power stations, it's rich mining history, it's beautiful lakes and scenic walks, and the last remaining D*E*K*A sign.

Situated on both sides of the Waikato River, approximately 93 km south of Auckland and 32 km north of Hamilton, Huntly is ideal to get away from the hustle and bustle.

Ride the rails on working examples of New Zealand's engineering heritage. Explore the many rare and historic locomotives we've saved from around the region. Have a relaxing picnic lunch by the station. An enjoyable day out is waiting for the young and young at heart!

Visit the Cornerstone Alpaca Stud in Gordonton. Meet the herd of 120 alpacas, hand feed

them their favourite nuggets,

and feel their soft alpaca wool.

Only an hour drive from Auckland or 8 minutes from Hamilton
